Abstract
Some railway companies take measures such as posters and announcements for manners on the train and on the escalator. About half of the respondents to a survey asking if there had been any improvement in manners answered “No change”. Therefore, we propose a system that detects the nuisance way a user carries her/his luggage and presents her/him a message to make her/him aware of her/his nuisance way. We conducted an experiment to evaluate the proposed system and asked the participants to use the proposed system and answer questionnaires. The results of the experiment showed that the users were willing to be more careful not to carry the luggage in a nuisance holding after the experiment than before the one. However, the users did not want to use the system continuously because of the time and effort required to attach the equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the labor when attaching the equipment and find a way to make users want to use the system in the future.
